ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Hermosa President and Vice President, ensuring seamless communication, coordination, and service delivery across Hermosa project leadership. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and interpersonal skills who can exercise discretion and thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive, high‑level administrative, coordination, and communication support to the Hermosa President and Vice President, enabling effective leadership, seamless operations, and strong stakeholder engagement across the Hermosa. This role is based in Tucson, Arizona.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Calendar Management: Manage complex and changing calendars, including meetings, appointments, and travel across multiple international time zones, ensuring priorities are met efficiently.
• Executive Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Hermosa President and Vice President, handling correspondence, screening calls, and drafting professional and courteous responses.
• Information Management: Maintain organized and confidential files, documents, and records, ensuring information is accurate and easily accessible when needed.
• Meeting Support: Prepare agendas, presentations, and briefing materials, and coordinate logistics to support effective meetings, conferences, and events, both in person and virtual.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Hermosa employees, South32 executives, community members, and government representatives.
• Project Coordination: Support the President and Vice President with coordination of strategic initiatives related to the Hermosa Project, including document review, progress tracking, and collaboration with global teams.
• Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality in line with company policies and standards.
• Special Projects: Provide flexible support on ad hoc assignments and special initiatives as business needs evolve.
• Executive Visits: Partner with South32 administrative teams, Company Secretariat, and Investor Relations to plan and coordinate executive, Board, and investor visits to the Hermosa site.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Seven (7) or more years of experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role supporting senior executives
• Proven experience supporting executive leaders in a global organization; experience in the mining or natural resources sector is an advantage
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex schedules in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professional fluency in English; bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, collaborate effectively, and work with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and sound judgment when handling confidential information and sensitive matters
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and related business applications; openness to learning new tools and technologies
• Proactive, self‑directed, and solutions‑focused, with strong problem‑solving skills and a collaborative, service‑oriented approach
