Job Title: Executive – Business Development for Sharda Skills Executive Development Program

Department: Sharda Skills
Location: Sharda University

Job Purpose:

To generate and nurture leads for various online and offline training programs across corporates, schools, colleges, hospitals, and manufacturing industries by leveraging digital platforms, regular follow-ups, and effective communication, ultimately converting leads into paid training partnerships.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting
  • Identify and generate potential leads using online platforms such as LinkedIn, Naukri, Justdial, and other B2B databases.
  • Build a robust lead funnel for different training categories (Soft Skills, Career Counseling, Technical Training, etc.).
  • Research and identify potential clients across corporates, schools, colleges, hospitals, and manufacturing units.
  • Lead Qualification & Categorization
  • Maintain, track, and categorize all leads in CRM or Excel sheets under IQL (Information Qualified Lead), MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead), and SQL (Sales Qualified Lead).
  • Conduct regular follow-ups, calls, and email communication to nurture leads through the sales funnel.
  • Gather detailed information about client needs, training interests, and budget to assess lead potential.
  • Client Communication & Relationship Building
  • Schedule introductory calls and meetings with key decision-makers such as HR heads, principals, training coordinators, and corporate L&D managers.
  • Present organization’s training offerings professionally through online/offline meetings or presentations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to ensure long-term engagement.
  • Conversion & Sales Closure
  • Coordinate with internal teams for proposals, quotations, and presentations.
  • Follow up on proposals and close deals to convert leads into paid training opportunities.
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly targets for lead conversion and revenue generation are met.
  • Database Management & Reporting
  • Maintain an updated lead tracker and CRM database.
  • Prepare and share weekly and monthly reports on lead generation, conversion status, and client meetings.
  • Provide actionable feedback to improve marketing and outreach strategies.
  • Coordination & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Training, Marketing, and Operations teams for smooth delivery of finalized programs.
  • Provide market insights and feedback on trends, competitor activities, and client expectations.

  • Basic knowledge of CRM tools and lead management processes

Educational Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Education Management / HR or related fields
  • 1–3 years of experience in Business Development, Inside Sales, or Client Acquisition (preferably in education, training, or HR industry)

Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Number of leads generated per month
  • Quality and conversion ratio of IQL → MQL → SQL
  • Number of meetings fixed with decision-makers
  • Number of training deals closed and revenue generated
  • Client satisfaction and repeat business rate

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
