Job Summary
Lead and manage the full operational ecosystem of Broadcasting, ensuring broadcast efficiency, production quality, operational sustainability, and maximizing the educational and media impact of the channels. This encompasses overseeing studios, television and digital production, building media partnerships, elevating operational infrastructure readiness, and applying best practices in content management, broadcasting, and operations — while developing and delivering educational and media content in an innovative and engaging manner that effectively reaches the audience and strengthens educational impact and community engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
I. General Operational Leadership

Lead and operate the Broadcasting ecosystem across all operational, technical, and production components.

Develop and execute the annual operational plan for the channels, ensuring business continuity and achievement of targets.

Oversee the daily performance of the channels and ensure seamless integration between broadcasting, production, studios, and technical and operational teams.

Continuously develop and improve the channels' operational model and its efficiency.

Ensure operational readiness for future expansion or the addition of new media and educational services and platforms.
II. Studio Management and Operational Infrastructure

Directly oversee studio operations and ensure their technical and operational readiness.

Ensure efficient utilization of studio facilities, equipment, and associated technical systems.

Develop preventive and operational maintenance plans in coordination with technical teams and vendors.

Manage studio operational readiness during live and recorded production and broadcasting.

Optimize asset and studio utilization to achieve the best operational and economic value.
III. Media and Television Production Management

Oversee television, educational, and digital production operations from planning through execution and delivery.

Ensure the quality of produced content and its alignment with the educational identity and strategic objectives of the channels.

Monitor production schedules, progress indicators, and adherence to quality, timeline, and cost parameters.

Develop workflows between editorial, preparation, production, direction, and post-production teams.

Lead improvements to the viewer experience by enhancing the quality of media and visual outputs.
IV. Broadcast Management and Operational Continuity

Oversee the broadcast system and ensure service continuity in accordance with approved standards.

Develop business continuity plans and emergency contingency plans for broadcasting and operations.

Monitor compliance with service level agreements and performance indicators related to operations and broadcasting.

Coordinate with partners, operators, and vendors to ensure technical and operational infrastructure readiness.

Address operational challenges and effectively escalate critical risks.
V. Building Media Partnerships and Institutional Integration

Build and develop strategic partnerships with relevant media, production, technical, and educational entities.

Develop collaboration models with partners that support content quality, operational efficiency, and expanded impact.

Represent the channels in relevant meetings and committees with internal and external partners.

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders within the ecosystem to ensure integration of roles and responsibilities.

Explore collaboration opportunities with the private sector and specialized entities in broadcasting, production, and content.
VI. Governance, Quality, and Compliance

Establish operational and governance frameworks that regulate the channels' operational activities.

Ensure compliance with approved operational and technical policies, standards, and procedures.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators for operations, production, and broadcasting.

Oversee quality control, improve operational efficiency, and minimize waste and downtime.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines related to content, broadcasting, rights, and compliance.
VII. Financial Management and Vendor Management

Prepare and monitor the operational and production budget in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Optimize expenditure and ensure the best use of operational and technical resources.

Oversee contracts and vendors and service providers associated with operations, production, and studios.

Evaluate the performance of vendors and operational partners and submit improvement recommendations.

Support the development of scopes of work and technical and operational requirements for related contracts.
VIII. Team Leadership and Capability Building

Lead operational, technical, and production teams and enhance their effectiveness.

Build a clear operational structure and define roles and responsibilities across different teams.

Years of Experience

Minimum 15 years of experience in media operations, television broadcasting, channel management, television production, or media content management.

Proven experience in studio management, production, and broadcasting operations.

Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex operational environments.

Experience managing partnerships and operational contracts with vendors and media entities.

Prior experience in educational channels, purposeful media, or knowledge platforms is preferred.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Media, Television Production, Broadcasting, Media Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.

Master's degree in Media, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.

Professional or specialized certifications in broadcasting, production management, or media operations are considered an added advantage.
