Executive Housekeeper
New hotel, opening Summer 2026! Hilton Garden Inn – Kansas City Riverside
Position starting March 2026 to assist with opening activities and preparation.

Support the General Manager in leading and managing all housekeeping operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain Hilton brand standards, and achieve financial goals. This role will be instrumental during pre-opening and in establishing a strong, detail-driven culture in a growing Riverside market.

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry operations, and inventory management. This leader ensures consistent cleanliness, efficiency, and an elevated guest experience aligned with Hilton Garden Inn standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience

  • Oversee daily operations of guest room cleaning, public areas, and laundry
  • Ensure exceptional cleanliness and consistent execution of Hilton brand standards
  • Maintain organization, presentation, and readiness of all guest-facing spaces
  • Drive guest satisfaction scores and manage service recovery efforts

Pre-Opening Leadership

  • Assist with setup of housekeeping operations, storage, and par levels
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of the housekeeping team
  • Establish SOPs, cleaning programs, and opening procedures
  • Coordinate with vendors for linens, terry, OS&E, and cleaning supplies

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage housekeeping budgets, including labor and supplies
  • Monitor labor productivity and staffing efficiency
  • Manage purchasing, inventory controls, and cost management of linens and supplies
  • Minimize loss, damage, and waste

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and chemical handling standards
  • Maintain OSHA compliance and proper use of PPE
  • Oversee room inspection processes to meet Hilton QA standards
  • Ensure proper handling of lost and found procedures

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and develop housekeeping team members and supervisors
  • Create schedules and manage staffing levels based on occupancy
  • Foster a culture of accountability, attention to detail, and service excellence
  • Partner closely with Front Office, Maintenance, and hotel leadership

Work Experience

Experience

  • Proven success managing hotel housekeeping operations
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience
  • Prior Hilton brand experience preferred (Hilton Garden Inn experience a plus)
  • Experience in focused-service or full-service hotel environments
  • Pre-opening experience preferred but not required

Leadership & Operational Skills

  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Knowledge of Hilton brand standards, QA processes, and cleanliness expectations
  • Experience managing labor, scheduling, and productivity within budget
  • Understanding of hotel P&L, cost controls, and inventory management

Technical Competencies

  • Experience with housekeeping systems (Quore or similar preferred)
  • Knowledge of inventory management and linen control systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
