Experienced Painter

Duties

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools to achieve smooth, even coverage
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specifications for color matching and design consistency
• Perform specialty finishes including stucco application, industrial painting, restoration work, and masonry coatings to meet project requirements
• Execute renovation tasks involving drywall installation, trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing, carpentry repairs, and remodeling projects
• Use construction estimating skills to assess materials needed for each project accurately and manage time efficiently on-site
• Maintain safety standards by following proper procedures for working with scaffolding, welding equipment (if applicable), masonry tools, and handling hazardous materials

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting with a strong understanding of color theory and finishing techniques
• Extensive background in commercial and industrial painting projects within construction sites or renovation environments
• Skilled in the use of hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, sanders, brushes, rollers, spray equipment (including airless systems), power tools, welding equipment (if applicable), and masonry tools
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics to interpret project plans accurately
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes to determine material needs and project timelines
• Hands-on experience with plastering, stucco application, restoration work, fixture installation, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, concrete finishing, masonry work, and maintenance tasks
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations confidently
• Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills
• Additional handyman experience is a plus for versatile project support
