Job Description – Export Documentation Executive
- Stay updated on export regulations, DGFT policies, and international trade requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local and global export laws and regulations.
- Collect and verify all necessary export documents to avoid delays or compliance issues.
- Identify and resolve missing or incorrect documentation before submission.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely shipping and customs documentation for export consignments.
- Draft and manage documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, SDF, COO, and Bill of Lading.
- Handle duty drawback and export incentive documentation, if applicable.
- Liaise with shipping lines and freight forwarders for vessel bookings and scheduling.
- Coordinate with CHA (Customs House Agents) for timely customs clearance.
- Ensure smooth handover of goods to shipping lines or airlines.
- Follow up with ports/ICDs/CFSs on cargo movement and vessel cut-off deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of export documentation, certificates, and regulatory filings.
- Update and share daily export tracking reports with the reporting manager.
- Communicate with clients, banks (for LC/BRC documentation), Customs Authorities, Ports, and Internal Teams.
- Perform any other tasks related to export operations, as assigned by senior management.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in export documentation or international logistics preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Indian export procedures, customs systems, and documentation flow.
- Familiar with ICEGATE portal, DGFT, shipping documentation, and INCOTERMS.
- Proficient in handling LC, BRC, shipping bills, and post-shipment documentation.
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet shipping deadlines.
- Skilled in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
- A quick learner with a proactive and process-driven mindset.
- Team player with strong coordination and follow-up skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
