Export Operations Manager - Preferably Ex-Banker

The Export Operations Associate plays a critical role in managing end‑to‑end export documentation, logistics coordination, and shipment execution for international rice consignments. This position ensures smooth operational flow between procurement, production, quality control, freight forwarders, and global buyers. A strong understanding of rice grades, milling processes, and export compliance is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Export Documentation & Compliance

* Prepare and manage complete export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, BL/AWB, phytosanitary certificates, and inspection reports.

* Ensure compliance with destination‑country regulations, customs requirements, and rice‑specific export standards.

* Coordinate with chambers, banks, and government bodies for timely document processing (E‑Form, GD, etc.).

* Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure audit‑ready documentation.

Logistics & Shipment Coordination

* Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and clearing agents to finalize bookings and ensure timely container placement.

* Track shipments from factory gate to port loading and final delivery.

* Monitor vessel schedules, transit times, and potential delays, providing proactive updates to management and customers.

* Coordinate container fumigation, loading supervision, and QC checks.

Customer & Supplier Communication

* Serve as the primary operational contact for international buyers regarding shipment status, documentation, and compliance queries.

* Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure order accuracy and timely dispatch.

* Support sales teams with export‑related information, costing inputs, and customer requirements.

Quality & Product Knowledge

* Understand rice varieties (Basmati, Sella, Steam, Parboiled, IRRI, etc.) and their export specifications.

* Verify product quality, packaging, and labeling against customer contracts.

* Coordinate with QC teams for pre‑shipment inspections and third‑party certifications.

Operational Efficiency & Reporting

* Maintain shipment trackers, container utilization reports, and export performance dashboards.

* Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

* Assist in developing SOPs for export operations and documentation workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, International Trade, or related field.

* 1–3 years of experience in export operations, preferably in the rice or agri‑commodities sector.

* Strong understanding of export documentation, INCOTERMS, and international logistics.

* Familiarity with rice milling processes, quality parameters, and global market requirements.

* Excellent communication and coordination skills.

* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.

* Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight shipment deadlines.

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
