Location: DHA Phase 5, Khayaban-e-Shamsheer, Street No. 29, Karachi
Reporting Line: Project Manager / Head of Construction / Group Projects Head

Important Clarification:
This position is not for Aawaz TV Network or Media/Broadcasting Operations. The role is exclusively for the Construction Company, which functions as a group entity under Aawaz Television Group. All duties, deliverables, and evaluations are strictly related to construction, exterior design, and neighborhood improvement projects.

Job Purpose:
The Exterior & Architectural Design Officer will be responsible for planning, designing, and enhancing the aesthetic and functional appearance of construction and neighborhood improvement projects. The role focuses on exterior beautification, architectural detailing, landscaping concepts, façade design, and on-site/off-site visual improvements to elevate the overall project quality and visual impact.

Job Description (JD)Key Responsibilities:1. Exterior & Architectural Design

• Develop exterior design concepts for construction and neighborhood improvement projects.
• Design façades, elevations, external finishes, boundary walls, walkways, and outdoor spaces.
• Propose creative beautification ideas to enhance the visual appeal of projects.
• Prepare design layouts, sketches, mood boards, and conceptual visuals.

2. Neighborhood Improvement & Beautification

• Design public-facing elements such as streetscapes, entrances, signage, lighting concepts, and open areas.
• Contribute to urban and neighborhood beautification initiatives.
• Ensure designs are aligned with modern architectural and aesthetic standards.

3. On-Site & Off-Site Coordination

• Conduct site visits to assess design feasibility and implementation requirements.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and project teams.
• Provide on-site guidance to ensure accurate execution of approved designs.
• Support off-site design development and revisions as required.

4. Materials & Finishes Selection

• Recommend suitable materials, textures, colors, and finishes for exterior works.
• Ensure durability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of design solutions.
• Assist procurement teams with design-related specifications.

5. Compliance & Standards

• Ensure designs comply with local building regulations, safety standards, and project guidelines.
• Align designs with client expectations and organizational quality benchmarks.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare design documentation, drawings, and presentation material.
• Maintain proper records of design approvals and revisions.
• Submit progress updates to management and project heads.

7. Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with architects, engineers, landscapers, and project managers.
• Support the group construction team in achieving high-quality visual outcomes.
• Provide creative input for ongoing and future construction projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, or a related field.
• Diploma or certification in architectural/exterior design will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in exterior design, architectural design, or construction-related projects.
• Experience in neighborhood improvement or urban beautification projects preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong design and visualization skills.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, 3ds Max, or similar tools).
• Good understanding of architectural drawings and construction practices.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to translate concepts into practical design solutions.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
