Fabricator - Welder

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Measure, cut, and prepare steel materials according to project requirements.
• Perform layout, fitting, tack welding, and full welding of structural components.
• Operate fabrication tools and machinery including saws, shears, presses, drills, and grinders.
• Use welding methods (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to assemble parts with high precision.
• Ensure components meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Conduct final inspection and adjustments before dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all safety protocols.
• Report equipment malfunctions or defects to the maintenance team.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to meet project timelines.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or technical training certificate.
• Proven experience (2+ years) as a structural or steel fabricator in a factory environment.
• Ability to read and interpret structural fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Skilled in the use of welding and cutting tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of materials (mild steel, stainless steel, etc.) and fabrication techniques.
• Good physical condition and stamina; able to lift heavy materials and work in a noisy environment.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
