Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Measure, cut, and prepare steel materials according to project requirements.
- Perform layout, fitting, tack welding, and full welding of structural components.
- Operate fabrication tools and machinery including saws, shears, presses, drills, and grinders.
- Use welding methods (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to assemble parts with high precision.
- Ensure components meet quality and dimensional standards.
- Conduct final inspection and adjustments before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all safety protocols.
- Report equipment malfunctions or defects to the maintenance team.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to meet project timelines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or technical training certificate.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a structural or steel fabricator in a factory environment.
- Ability to read and interpret structural fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Skilled in the use of welding and cutting tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of materials (mild steel, stainless steel, etc.) and fabrication techniques.
- Good physical condition and stamina; able to lift heavy materials and work in a noisy environment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
