Facade Designer

We are seeking a skilled Facade Designer with strong experience in façade systems design, detailing, and execution. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working on projects in the UAE, with a strong understanding of local authority regulations, material systems, and high-rise building façade requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop façade design concepts from schematic design through detailed design stages
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, authority requirements, and project specifications
• Work on aluminum, glass, cladding, curtain wall, and skylight systems
• Support technical submittals, RFIs, and material approvals
• Conduct design reviews and resolve site/technical issues during execution
• Coordinate with fabrication and site teams for design implementation
• Optimize façade systems for performance, aesthetics, and cost efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of façade design experience in UAE or GCC projects
• Strong knowledge of façade systems (curtain walls, unitized systems, stick systems, ACP, glazing, etc.)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of Revit, Rhino, or other 3D tools is an advantage
• Good understanding of structural behavior of façade systems
• Familiar with Dubai Municipality / Abu Dhabi authority standards (or equivalent UAE authorities)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Strong coordination and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high-rise and commercial tower projects
• Knowledge of thermal performance, waterproofing, and acoustic requirements
• BIM coordination experience
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
