MEP Design Manager

We are seeking a highly accomplished MEP Design Manager to lead the delivery of multidisciplinary MEP engineering design across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use, and high-rise developments. The successful candidate will provide strategic technical leadership, oversee the full MEP design lifecycle, and ensure the delivery of innovative, coordinated, and authority-compliant engineering solutions that meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and oversee the design and coordination of all Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health (Plumbing & Drainage), Fire Protection, and ELV building services throughout all project phases.
• Direct multidisciplinary MEP design teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality engineering solutions aligned with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
• Review, approve, and ensure the technical integrity of design calculations, engineering reports, specifications, tender documentation, BIM models, shop drawing reviews, and construction documentation.
• Provide strategic technical leadership during concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and construction stages.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE authority requirements, local regulations, international codes, client standards, and industry best practices.
• Lead design coordination with Architecture, Structural, Infrastructure, Sustainability, and other engineering disciplines to achieve fully integrated project delivery.
• Represent the consultancy in technical meetings with clients, developers, contractors, government authorities, and project stakeholders.
• Drive value engineering initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize design efficiency, sustainability, constructability, and project cost.
• Oversee design quality assurance and quality control processes while ensuring consistency across all project deliverables.
• Manage project resources, technical risks, design schedules, and engineering deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
• Support authority submissions and approvals with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, DDA, Trakhees, RTA, and other relevant regulatory authorities.
• Mentor senior and junior engineers, foster technical excellence, and contribute to the continuous development of engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. A Master's degree is considered an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in MEP engineering design, including at least 8 years within the UAE working for a reputable engineering consultancy.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary MEP design for large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use, and high-rise developments.
• Comprehensive expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, ELV, and Building Services Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority regulations and approval processes, including Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, DDA, Trakhees, RTA, and other relevant authorities.
• Thorough understanding of international engineering standards and codes, including ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IPC, SMACNA, BS, and local UAE regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, BIM coordination, Navisworks, and industry-standard engineering software.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, multiple concurrent projects, and client relationships within a consultancy environment.
• Exceptional technical, commercial, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Professional registration, PMP certification, LEED AP, or equivalent professional qualifications will be considered an advantage.

Pay: AED18,000.00 - AED25,000.00 per month
