Facilities Cleaner

The Facilities Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our offices, outdoor spaces and multiple residential houses. This position requires a highly organized and proactive individual who can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a professional and supportive environment for both staff and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping surfaces.
• Cleaning and disinfecting lavatories, toilets, and restocking supplies like toilet paper and soap.
• Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
• Keeping track of cleaning supplies and reporting shortages.
• Ensuring cleaning equipment is in good working order and reporting any malfunctions.
• Addressing inquiries from visitors and ensuring a positive experience.
• Work professionally with staff, contractors, and residents across multiple properties.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to maintenance, repairs, and property management.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, buffing, and general facilities maintenance.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery.
