Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, according to needs of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better
Maintains a friendly and courteous attitude to residents, patients and co-workers
Supports the Director of Building Services in the Maintenance, Landscaping, and Security Department operations
Will assist the Director with balancing ongoing budgets for Maintenance, Landscaping, and Security using facilities protocols and check book policies
Responsible for inventory of supplies/parts and includes the purchasing of replenishment assuring competitive pricing
Assist Director with department budget and annual list of major expenditures needed in the coming year
Identify need for contract services, based on Maintenance Tech. feedback, and select appropriate contractor for work; larger projects are handled by Project Manager
Assist the Director to ensure departmental policies and procedures are followed and reviewed annually
Maintain the Maintenance work order hotline and work order system
Knowledge of life safety codes
Other duties assigned by the Director of Building Services
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or G.E.D. is required
Minimum one year administrative experience with a maintenance department in healthcare or construction industry
Valid Texas drivers license and clear driving record
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
Ability to work well with people and maintain a helpful, understanding and positive attitude
Excellent telephone/customer service skills
Legible handwriting
Strong computer skills; MS Office, especially Excel and Yardi
Strong and competent skills in purchasing, budgeting, A/P
Ability to work with diverse staff across different levels of authority
Ability to perform Essential Duties
Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, special needs and hospice patients
Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
