Job Purpose
The FM Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day facilities operations within the mall, ensuring smooth functioning of MEP systems, maintenance, cleaning, security, health & safety, and vendor management. The role requires prior experience managing facilities within malls or large retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily mall facilities operations including MEP, HVAC, plumbing, civil works, housekeeping, pest control, landscaping, security, and parking services.
- Ensure compliance with mall standards, government regulations, and HSE requirements.
- Monitor service contractors’ performance and ensure SLAs/KPIs are met.
- Prepare and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of mall facilities to identify issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate with tenants for facilities-related concerns, fit-outs, and handover processes.
- Assist in managing annual maintenance budgets and optimize operational costs.
- Support emergency response, firefighting, and life safety systems readiness.
- Report incidents, prepare maintenance logs, and submit daily/weekly reports to management.
- Ensure customer experience is not disrupted by maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Facilities Management.
- 5+ years of facilities management experience, with at least 2 years in a mall/retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, firefighting, and building management systems (BMS).
- Experience handling contractors, vendors, and tenant coordination.
- Strong understanding of UAE HSE regulations and mall operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, or emergencies as required.
Preferred
- Certification in Facilities Management (IFMA, FMP, CFM) or IOSH/NEBOSH safety training.
- Prior experience with mall openings, refurbishments, or large-scale retail projects.
