Facilities Manager

As the Facilities Manager for ALEC Holdings, you will oversee the strategic and operational management of all corporate offices and hubs across the Group. Working at Group level, you will ensure ALEC's facilities operate seamlessly, safely, and efficiently. Supporting business continuity and the wellbeing of our people. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance strategic foresight with operational excellence, driving sustainability, compliance, and cost efficiency across diverse environments while fostering collaboration with stakeholders at every level.

About Your Team

As the Facilities Manager for ALEC Holdings, you'll be the first person in this role. We want you to create a forward-thinking department driving excellence across all offices and hubs. Reporting to the COO, you'll have strong leadership support and access to Group-wide resources to deliver smart, cost-effective facilities solutions that enhance efficiency and enable ALEC's continued growth.

Your Role

As the Facilities Manager you will:

  • Lead the strategic and operational management of ALEC's offices, hubs, and yards, ensuring all facilities run seamlessly, safely, and efficiently.
  • Drive excellence in space, asset, and resource management to maximise utilisation, reduce waste, and support business growth.
  • Champion compliance, safety, and sustainability standards, embedding best practice and environmental responsibility across all sites.
  • Oversee vendor partnerships and service contracts, delivering exceptional quality, cost efficiency, and reliability.
  • Plan and future-proof facilities capacity, aligning infrastructure and resources with ALEC's evolving operational needs.
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Group.
  • Your hours will be: 8.00am to 5.30pm
  • Your working days are Monday to Friday - weekend work may be required from time to time.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 10+ years in Military Facilities Management
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of managing diverse facility types, including corporate offices, storage yards, manufacturing spaces, and multi-use operational environments.
  • Expertise: Strategic facilities leadership, aligning infrastructure planning with organisational growth and business continuity goals.
  • Proven ability to design and implement integrated service models that enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
  • Strong capability in lifecycle asset management, energy optimisation, and predictive maintenance planning.
  • Experience in leading transformation projects, introducing smart building technologies and data-driven decision-making.
  • Skilled in fostering cross-functional collaboration between engineering, procurement, sustainability, and operations to deliver unified outcomes.
  • Skilled in digital facilities systems (e.g. CAFM), analytics, and delivering sustainability and ESG initiatives.
  • Strong command of HSE & ESG regulations, compliance frameworks, and sustainability best practice.
  • Advanced capability in vendor performance, contract management, budgeting, and cost efficiency.
  • Skilled in digital facilities and asset management systems, data analysis, and strategic planning
