Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Maintenance
- Oversee daily maintenance of school buildings, classrooms, laboratories, hostels (if applicable), playgrounds, and common areas
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, lifts, generators, CCTV, and water systems
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for repairs and AMC contracts
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety norms, fire safety regulations, and CBSE/local authority guidelines
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
- Maintain records of safety audits, fitness certificates, and approvals
- Handle emergency preparedness and disaster management procedures
Housekeeping & Campus Management
- Supervise housekeeping, sanitation, and gardening staff
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene across the campus
- Monitor waste management and eco-friendly practices
Asset & Inventory Management
- Maintain records of school assets, equipment, and infrastructure
- Monitor usage, upkeep, and replacement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Assist in procurement planning related to facilities and maintenance
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with academic and administrative departments for facilities support
- Address staff and parent complaints related to infrastructure and facilities
- Support school events, examinations, and special programs
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Facility Management / Administration or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a school or institutional setting
- Knowledge of safety regulations, vendor management, and maintenance systems
