Want to play a key role in driving high-impact capital projects and bond-funded initiatives across Oakland County? The Facilities Project Support Specialist serves as a critical partner in supporting the County’s Capital Improvement and Bond (CI/B) programs, working closely with leadership to ensure transparency, accountability, and successful project delivery. This role goes beyond traditional administrative support, it is a data-driven, systems-focused position that helps transform complex project information into clear, executive-level insights.

What You’ll Do
  • Compile and analyze project data including scope, schedule, budget, and risk to support program-level reporting
  • Develop and deliver executive-ready reports and presentations for leadership, committees, and stakeholders
  • Support purchasing, contract processing, invoice coordination, and change order tracking for large-scale design, architecture, and engineering construction projects.
  • Maintain and coordinate project and operational data across systems such as Workday, Trimble Unity (E-Builder), Cityworks, and Salesforce to support accurate reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Interface with County project managers and fiscal teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
  • Create polished Excel reports, PowerPoint presentations, and SharePoint materials to support strategic decision-making and leadership communication.

Minimum Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. a. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field.

b. Have had at least one (1) year of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades; OR

2. a. Possess an Associate’s Degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field.

b. Have had at least three (3) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades; OR

3. a. Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test.

b. Have had at least five (5) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades.

4. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.
