The Facilities Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of facilities to ensure they are safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently. This role involves managing maintenance teams, coordinating repair schedules, supervising contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Operations:
- Supervise the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
- Oversee the cleaning, landscaping, and general upkeep of the facility.
Team Supervision:
- Lead and manage maintenance and cleaning staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations for technicians.
- Ensure staffing levels meet operational needs, including scheduling and managing overtime or on-call shifts.
Vendor and Contractor Coordination, Inventory Management:
- Schedule and oversee third-party contractors for repairs, renovations, inspections, elevators, fire protection system, etc.
- Review vendor contracts, ensuring work meets organizational standards before escalating to management for approval.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and health/safety standards.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for facility operations.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials and services to prevent operational downtime.
- Prepare and present reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, and incident management.
- Document maintenance schedules, equipment logs, and regulatory compliance records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); bachelor’s degree in facility management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in facility operations or a related supervisory role. Experience in managing teams and coordinating maintenance or repair projects.
- Holds Qatari driving licence.
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems and tools.
- Basic understanding of building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Ability to work as a team leader.
