The Payload Launch Sites Support Services
(PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing
support functions for Office of Space Launch
(OSL). The program's two primary operating
locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA and Cape
Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS
program scope include satellite launch
processing, satellite transport operations,
satellite propellant loading operations, and
satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room
operations, and safety and environmental services.
The candidate selected for this position will
provide direct support for assigned systems and
projects. Supporting Engineers with planning,
designing and overseeing the reconfiguration,
maintenance, and alteration of equipment,
machinery, buildings, structures, and other
facilities. Gathers and reviews data concerning
facility or equipment specifications, company or
government restrictions, required completion
date, and construction feasibility. Coordinates
with architecture/engineering firms in developing
design criteria and preparing layout and detail
drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for
construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews
and estimates design costs including equipment,
installation, labor, materials, preparation, and
other related costs. Inspects or directs the
inspection of construction and installation
progress to ensure conformance to established
drawings, specifications, and schedules. Learn
and exercise aspects of facility and life safety
systems including HVAC/Utilities, Plumbing, and
Fire Suppression. Support other functions and
work on several concurrent projects within the
organization.
  • Identifies scope of work for mechanical designs
(HVAC/Utilities) based on preliminary review of
customer requirements.
  • Assess and analyze the operation of existing
systems.
  • Oversees daily preventative maintenance, repairs, and projects within the assigned facilities.
  • Completes monthly inspections of facility AEDs, Diesel Generator fuel tanks, and general facility systems.
  • Works with ESH to mitigate and resolve any facility safety issues.
  • Responds to all facility alarms ensuring all notifications are made.
  • Prepares purchase requests and creates work orders in Maximo.
  • Acts as primary POC for multiple organizations and the government customer.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years experience in facilities operations

Knowledge or experience in Plumbing, Electrical or Fire
Suppression Systems

Familiarity with systems as applied to HVAC
Systems
Desired Skills:
TS/SCI clearance

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

Experience with Maximo software

Ability to read, interpret and apply mechanical
system codes, drawings and specifications

Familiarity with Universal Facility Codes (UFC)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
