Job Summary

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, safety, and efficiency of hospital infrastructure and support services. This role ensures that the hospital environment is safe, compliant with healthcare regulations, and fully operational to support high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facility Operations & Maintenance

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital buildings, equipment, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
  • Ensure uninterrupted power supply and backup systems (generators, UPS).
  • Manage AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and vendor performance.

2. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Implement fire safety, emergency preparedness, and disaster management protocols.
  • Coordinate safety drills and audits.

3. Vendor & Contract Management

  • Supervise housekeeping, security, biomedical waste, pest control, and other outsourced services.
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance to maintain service quality.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage facility maintenance budgets.
  • Optimize operational costs without compromising safety and quality.

5. Infrastructure Planning

  • Coordinate renovation, expansion, and facility upgrade projects.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations during maintenance activities.

6. Team Management

  • Supervise facility staff and maintenance teams.
  • Provide training and ensure adherence to hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) or Facility Management.
  • 2 of experience in facility management, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital infrastructure systems and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent leadership, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in NABH/JCI compliance (if applicable).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and facility management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹19,593.54 - ₹57,984.84 per month
