Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Facility Maintenance
- Ensure proper maintenance of hospital buildings, wards, OPD, ICU, OT, and common areas.
- Monitor civil, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of infrastructure.
- Coordinate repair and renovation work.
Utility Management
- Oversee functioning of utilities including:
- Electrical systems
- DG sets
- HVAC systems
- Medical gas pipeline system
- Water supply and plumbing
- Fire safety systems
- Lift operations
- Ensure uninterrupted utility services.
Equipment & AMC Management
- Maintain records of all facility equipment.
- Ensure Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMC) are in place.
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and servicing.
- Maintain maintenance logs and service records.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with NABH, fire safety, biomedical waste, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections.
- Ensure fire safety equipment is functional.
- Conduct mock drills and safety training.
- Ensure hospital safety policies are followed.
Housekeeping & Support Services
- Supervise housekeeping services and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.
- Monitor pest control services.
- Ensure hygiene and infection control compliance.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
- Monitor vendor performance.
- Ensure timely completion of work.
- Maintain vendor agreements and documentation.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage facility maintenance budget.
- Control maintenance costs without compromising quality.
- Monitor utility consumption (electricity, water, fuel).
Documentation & NABH Compliance
- Maintain facility records, logs, and checklists.
- Ensure NABH documentation compliance.
- Maintain AMC, maintenance, and inspection records.
- Prepare reports for audits and inspections.
Team Management
- Supervise maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, and technicians.
- Assign duties and monitor performance.
- Ensure staff training and discipline.
