As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimising building systems to ensure operational efficiency, occupant comfort, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. You will directly support daily facility operations, preventive maintenance, energy management, and technical troubleshooting.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee and maintain critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and utilities.
  • Lead and supervise technicians in daily maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Monitor energy performance and implement conservation measures to improve efficiency.
  • Plan and execute shutdowns, upgrades, and reliability improvement projects.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE, local building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Manage facility improvement projects from planning to completion.
  • Coordinate with vendors for maintenance contracts, spare parts, periodical reports and project work.
  • Monitor housekeeping standards and ensure cleanliness and safety in all facility areas.
  • Support budgeting, cost control, and continuous operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in product, engineering, operations, finance, and marketing to help develop data-informed business strategies and roadmaps.
  • Partner with the finance team in developing budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc analyses that are informed by data-driven insights and operating metrics.
  • Continuous management for all launched propositions and products, handling the pre-analysis and post assessments.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facility management or technical operations.

Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Skills

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
