Job Description – Facilities Technician (Restaurant Branch Operations)

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage the facilities operations of a restaurant branch during the assigned

shift, ensuring smooth startup/shutdown procedures, compliance with SOPs, vendor

coordination, equipment troubleshooting, real-time monitoring, and accurate

documentation/reporting to maintain operational excellence and a safe working

environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 Startup / Shutdown Operations – Perform and monitor all facility-related startup and

shutdown procedures at the beginning and end of the shift. Ensure kitchen, dining,

storage, and utilities are operational at shift start and safely closed at shift end.

 Vendor Engagement – Coordinate with maintenance, cleaning, pest control, and other

service vendors. Ensure vendors perform tasks according to agreed SLAs and report

deviations.

 Monitoring – Monitor critical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration,

lighting, etc.) throughout the shift. Identify and address any anomalies immediately to

prevent downtime.

 Documentation – Maintain accurate logs of inspections, maintenance activities,

incidents, and vendor visits. Update maintenance and repair records in line with

company standards.

 SOP Compliance – Ensure all facilities operations follow company SOPs for safety,

hygiene, and maintenance. Conduct checks and provide feedback for process

improvement.

 Line Walks – Conduct scheduled and unscheduled line walks in kitchen, dining, storage,

and utility areas to identify facility issues. Escalate and follow up on corrective actions.

 Reporting / Ticketing – Create, update, and close tickets for any facility issues through

the company’s ticketing/reporting system. Provide daily shift reports to the Area

Facilities Manager with details of activities, incidents, and completed work.

 Troubleshooting – Perform troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and

plumbing systems, as well as kitchen equipment, to ensure uninterrupted restaurant

operations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

 Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve issues in electrical,

mechanical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment systems, minimizing downtime.

 Strong knowledge of restaurant facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen

equipment).

 Good coordination and communication skills for vendor and internal team interaction.

 Familiarity with SOPs for safety, hygiene, and maintenance in a food service

environment.

 Problem-solving and quick decision-making ability.

 Basic computer literacy (Excel, ticketing software, email).

Qualifications & Experience:

 Education: Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical, Mechanical or related

field.

 Experience: 2–4 years of experience in facilities operations within the restaurant/food

service industry.

 Hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving technical faults in HVAC, electrical,

and food service equipment.

 Other: Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per branch operational

needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
