Job Summary:
Polymer Contracting LLC is looking for a highly qualified and experienced Factory Manager to oversee operations at our interior fit-out and joinery production facility. The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree and bring at least 10 years of industry experience, with a proven track record in managing production, quality, and team performance within the interior design, carpentry, or furniture manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all factory operations related to interior fit-out and joinery works.
- Supervise production teams including carpenters, machine operators, finishers, and helpers.
- Plan and monitor production schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to design specifications.
- Ensure high standards of quality control across all products – including woodwork, furniture, wall cladding, counters, and other bespoke interior elements.
- Interpret and implement shop drawings and technical plans from design and engineering teams.
- Allocate manpower and resources effectively to meet production targets.
- Maintain and manage all factory equipment and ensure preventive maintenance is carried out.
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, material usage, and waste reduction.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly followed.
- Manage stock levels of raw materials and consumables, coordinating with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Generate regular reports on production performance, labor utilization, and machinery efficiency for senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Interior Architecture, or related technical field (mandatory).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a factory management role within the interior fit-out or joinery manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking processes, custom furniture fabrication, and fit-out components.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings, CAD files, and production documents.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machines, edge banding machines, panel saws, and joinery equipment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, quality control systems, and ERP software.
- Fluent in English and Hindi (Arabic is an added advantage).
- UAE/GCC experience preferred.
