Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Factory Manager to lead the establishment of a frozen fruits manufacturing facility in Egypt. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and operational management of the facility. The role encompasses project initiation, construction, equipment installation, staff recruitment, compliance, and ongoing operations to ensure the facility meets international quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive project plan, including budgets, timelines, and resources required for the facility setup.

Oversee procurement of equipment, and construction of the manufacturing plant.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely completion of construction.

Identify and procure necessary machinery and equipment for frozen fruit processing and storage.

Ensure compliance with all local and international regulations and standards for food manufacturing facilities.

Recruit, train, and onboard the initial team, including production, quality assurance, logistics, and administrative staff.

Establish operational processes, quality control measures, and production workflows.

Develop supply chain and procurement strategies for sourcing raw fruits and packaging materials.

Set up safety, hygiene, and maintenance protocols aligned with global best practices.

Obtain necessary permits and licenses to operate the facility in Egypt.

Ensure adherence to international food safety standards such as ISO 22000, HACCP, and FDA guidelines or whatever is needed to export the products to developed and emerging markets.

Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure product consistency and compliance.

Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

Manage budgets, optimize production costs, and ensure profitability.

Monitor market trends and develop strategies to align production with market demand.

Collaborate with sales and distribution teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science or a related field.

Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing, food processing, or project management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in setting up and managing a food manufacturing facility, preferably in frozen fruits or related industries.
