FA/FF Engineer – Bin Al Sheikh Tower

Bin Al Sheikh Towers is seeking a Qatar Civil Defence-certified FA/FF Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and compliance of all fire alarm and fire fighting systems across its high-rise facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all systems are functioning optimally and meet the stringent safety standards set by QCD.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all fire alarm and fire fighting systems within Bin Al Sheikh Towers
• Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of FA/FF equipment
• Ensure full compliance with Qatar Civil Defence (QCD) regulations and standards
• Coordinate with QCD for system approvals, renewals, and emergency inspections
• Respond promptly to system faults, alarms, and fire-related incidents
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of system performance and maintenance activities
• Supervise contractors and technicians during system upgrades or repairs
• Train tower staff on fire safety protocols and emergency response procedures
• Lead fire drills and evacuation simulations in coordination with building management
• Liaise with facility management, tenants, and QCD officials to ensure safety readiness

Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in FA/FF system management, preferably in high-rise buildings
• Valid Qatar Civil Defence Engineer Certification (mandatory)
• Familiarity with QCD online portal and submission procedures
• UPDA/MMUP certification is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of fire detection, suppression, and evacuation systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Excellent documentation and reporting abilities
• Ability to manage emergency situations calmly and effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience managing FA/FF systems in residential or commercial towers
• Knowledge of NFPA, QCD, and GCC fire safety codes
• Arabic language proficiency is a plus
