Family Assistant (Cooking + Childcare Support) – Tampa-Based

Location:
Tampa, FL (must be local or willing to relocate)

Schedule:

Split schedule depending on custody:

• Weekly Schedule: 10am - 7pm
• Semi-regular childcare support most evenings with kids (~6pm–7:00pm)
• Rare weekends (with advance notice, with a weekday off in exchange)
• Late nights are rare (~once every 2 months), but may occur during travel

Travel:

Occassional travel required

• Travel is fully covered
• Flexibility during travel (including evenings/weekends) is essential

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly adaptable, proactive, and energetic Family Assistant to support a dynamic household. This role is centered around preparing simple, healthy meals for children, assisting with childcare in the evenings, and providing general support to keep the household running smoothly. There is a boy (7) and a girl (4) who love playing outside, playing pretend, and building forts.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys travel, working with children, and taking initiative in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare simple, healthy meals for children based on a provided menu
• Manage Household Projects as overseen by principal employers.
• Assist with evening childcare routines (playtime, supervision, bedtime support)
• Occasional school pickup and transportation for children (car provided)
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
• Assist with groceries on a daily basis.
• Provide general household support as needed
• Travel with the family and adapt to changing schedules

Ideal Candidate:

• High-energy, playful, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children
• Comfortable cooking simple, healthy meals (no professional chef experience required)
• Proactive and takes initiative without needing constant direction
• Highly flexible and adaptable, including being on-call when needed
• Organized, dependable, and calm under pressure
• Open to candidates with nanny, babysitting, or family assistant experience

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
• Clean driving record (preferred)
• Willingness to undergo a background check

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 annually
