Role Overview

The Fashion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative abaya collections that align with Aeon Abaya’s brand identity. This role requires creativity, strong fashion sensibility, trend awareness, and the ability to transform ideas into wearable, high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development
• Create seasonal abaya collections from concept to final sample.
• Produce detailed sketches, technical drawings, and design specifications.
• Select fabrics, colors, embellishments, and trims that enhance the brand’s aesthetic.
• Trend Research & Inspiration
• Conduct market and trend research to ensure designs are relevant and competitive.
• Adapt global fashion influences to suit modest wear and Aeon Abaya’s unique identity.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with pattern makers, seamstresses, and production teams to ensure designs meet quality standards.
• Liaise with the marketing team to ensure brand storytelling aligns with design vision.
• Quality & Fit
• Oversee sample fittings and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired fit, drape, and finish.
• Brand Consistency
• Maintain Aeon Abaya’s signature style while introducing fresh, innovative concepts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience (3+ years) in fashion design, preferably in modest wear or luxury apparel.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and embroidery techniques.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO 3D).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for color, texture, and silhouette.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: KD300.000 - KD750.000 per month
