Façade Technical Engineer / Façade Architect

We are looking for a detail-oriented Façade Technical Engineer or Architect to be the technical authority for our façade systems. This role focuses on design development, detailing, material science, and providing technical support to both the project and QC teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated into buildable solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
• 7 – 15 years of experience, with a strong focus on the technical design, detailing, and engineering principles of façade systems (Curtain Wall, Aluminium, EIFS, Plaster, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of international standards (AAMA, ASTM, BS), building codes, and best practices in façade engineering.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino) and analysis tools is highly desirable.
• Experience in developing façade shop drawings, fabrication details, and technical submittal packages.
• UPDA certification (especially for engineers) is a significant advantage.
• A portfolio demonstrating past façade technical work is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review comprehensive technical submittals, including shop drawings, material data, calculations (if applicable), and test reports.
• Create and maintain standard details, typical sections, and interface solutions for various façade systems.
• Provide technical support to the procurement team in evaluating subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Work closely with the design consultant to clarify intent and develop practical, buildable details.
• Lead pre-production meetings with fabricators and installers to ensure design understanding.
• Resolve complex technical issues arising during fabrication and installation, providing engineered solutions.
• Stay updated on new façade materials, systems, and technologies.
• Support the QC team by explaining critical design aspects and inspection criteria.
• Review and approve material samples and mock-ups from a technical and aesthetic perspective.
