Position Summary

The F&B Captain is responsible for supervising restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest service, coordinating staff, and maintaining F&B standards. The role focuses on delivering memorable dining experiences and smooth service flow.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service

  • Welcome guests and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
  • Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests efficiently.
  • Ensure timely service of food and beverages.
  • Monitor table setup, cleanliness, and ambience of the restaurant.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations during the shift.
  • Assign duties to service staff and ensure performance according to standards.
  • Ensure proper sequence of service is followed at all times.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for smooth service.
  • Check buffet setups, cutlery, glassware, and linen before service.
  • Ensure proper billing, KOT/BOT handling, and cash control procedures.

Team Leadership

  • Train and guide service staff (Waiters, Stewards).
  • Conduct briefings before each shift.
  • Monitor grooming, discipline, and punctuality of team members.
  • Assist in performance evaluation of service staff.

Inventory & Hygiene

  • Maintain inventory of crockery, cutlery, linen, and equipment.
  • Ensure the restaurant meets hygiene and safety standards.
  • Report breakage and maintenance issues on time.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI and hotel safety guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • F&B service supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and guest-handling skills.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
  • Leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with POS & billing systems.

Work Conditions

  • Rotational shifts, weekends, and holiday duty as required.
  • Physically fit to stand for long hours and handle fast-paced operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 11 months
