Job Summary:
The Business Development & Research Executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and supporting the sales and marketing teams in driving revenue growth. This role combines strategic research, client engagement, and proposal development to help the company expand its market presence and secure new clients.
Key Responsibilities:Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets (corporate, government, and private sectors).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Assist in preparing business proposals, presentations, and quotations.
- Support the sales team with lead generation, follow-ups, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align business development activities with brand objectives.
- Track competitor activities and suggest strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new business segments.
- Analyze client data, event industry insights, and market dynamics to support decision-making.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing research findings and recommendations.
- Maintain an updated database of leads, contacts, and research insights.
- Evaluate partnership and sponsorship opportunities through data-driven research.
Strategy & Reporting
- Contribute to the development of business growth strategies and annual targets.
- Prepare periodic reports on business development performance and market trends.
- Support management with research-based insights for strategic planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in business development, market research, or sales (preferably in the event or service industry).
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and research skills.
