We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Female Landscape Maintenance Engineer to lead the day-to-day maintenance and improvement of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of horticultural practices, irrigation systems, and landscape management principles. This role involves supervising field crews, ensuring optimal plant health, and upholding aesthetic and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for softscape (plants, turf, trees) and hardscape (paving, structures).
- Supervise daily activities such as pruning, mowing, irrigation, fertilization, pest/disease control, and soil improvement.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficiency and water conservation.
- Troubleshoot issues related to pumps, sprinklers, and drip systems.
- Supervise maintenance crews and allocate tasks.
- Train staff on proper horticultural and safety practices.
- Monitor resource usage (fertilizers, pesticides, water, equipment).
- Conduct site inspections to ensure maintenance meets design intent and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety procedures, and client requirements.
- Prepare progress reports, maintenance logs, and inspection records.
- Communicate with clients/consultants regarding site conditions, challenges, and solutions.
- Promote eco-friendly maintenance methods such as organic fertilizers, native planting, and smart irrigation.
- Recommend improvements for long-term sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, Landscape Engineering, or Civil/Environmental Engineering.
- Additional certifications in irrigation systems, horticulture, or landscape management are an advantage.
- 3-5 years experience in landscape maintenance, irrigation management, or facility/site landscaping projects.
- Familiarity with plant care, soil management, pest control, and sustainable landscape practices.
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles, maintenance schedules, and irrigation systems.
- Awareness of safety, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
- FEMALE candidates only with a valid UAE Driving License.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in using landscape and irrigation maintenance tools and software (AutoCAD, GIS, MS Office).
- Knowledge of plant biology, horticulture, and soil sciences.
- Ability to plan, supervise, and monitor ongoing maintenance activities.
- Skill in diagnosing plant health issues, irrigation faults, and soil-related challenges.
- Capable of managing maintenance staff, gardeners, and subcontractors.
- Effective reporting and coordination with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple sites/projects.
- Ensuring quality standards are met in every aspect of landscape upkeep.
