Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement irrigation systems for landscaping, agricultural, and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and assessments to determine irrigation needs.
- Prepare detailed drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and technical specifications.
- Supervise installation, commissioning, and testing of irrigation systems.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient performance and water conservation.
- Diagnose and resolve irrigation system malfunctions, leaks, or inefficiencies.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and as-built drawings.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and workers on irrigation operation and maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in irrigation design and implementation (landscaping/agriculture projects preferred).
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, automated, and pumping systems).
- Proficiency in CAD software, hydraulic calculations, and irrigation design software.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong project management and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Certifications (Optional)
- Certified Irrigation Designer (CID)
- Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC)
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
