Key responsibilities

• Client interaction and consultation: Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget. Provide expert design consultations and recommendations.
• Design and proposal creation: Develop creative and functional design solutions, including creating floor plans, mood boards, and detailed proposals.
• Sales and project management: Drive sales to meet company targets, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
• Technical proficiency: Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) to create and present designs.
• Market awareness: Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends, materials, and color theories.

Required qualifications and skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in sales within the design industry is often required. Experience in specific areas like woodworking design or furniture sales may be a plus depending on the role.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative and effective design projects.
• Software skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
• Soft skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Attributes: Creativity, a keen eye for detail, and an achievement-oriented mindset are crucial.
