Field Engineer

Job Summary

The Field Engineer is responsible will be responsible for site surveys, system installations, and coordinating with customers and contractors to deliver reliable onsite solutions. He should have hands-on experience in CCTV systems, structured cabling, and access control solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Site & Project Execution:

• Conduct detailed site surveys to assess technical requirements, risks, and project scope
• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on survey findings and project needs
• Lead and execute end-to-end installation, configuration, and commissioning of: CCTV system, Access control system, Structured cabling (copper and fiber)
• Coordinate with contractors and third parties when required to ensure smooth onsite execution

Technical Delivery & Support:

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and fault resolution for live and production systems
• Provide basic network configuration and troubleshooting (IP addressing, switches, connectivity)
• Participate in after-hours work, maintenance windows, and urgent interventions when required
• Support expansion of scope when needed (e.g., additional low-current or onsite IT support such as printer connectivity)

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in field experience in low-current systems (preferred)
• Strong practical knowledge of: CCTV systems, Access control systems, Structured cabling (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber)
• AutoCAD knowledge for reading technical layouts.
• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, connectivity troubleshooting)
• Maintaining complete technical documentation
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and address challenges in a structured manner.
• Valid driving license
• Fluency in English language.

Work Environment & Conditions

• Field-based role with frequent travel to customer sites

• Fixed working hours with flexibility based on project requirements
• After-hours work expected during maintenance or project installations
• Occasional ladder use and outdoor work
• Security clearance required (or eligibility to obtain one)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
