Field Support Engineer

The candidates for this position are requested to meet the following criteria:

  • Diploma (Electronics/Electro Mechanical), Bachelor's degree engineer in computers/electronics.
  • Good understanding of safety protocols and best practices when working with machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel to various client sites as required.
  • 2-3 years experience as field engineer with commercial printers or banking equipment's preferred
  • Technical certifications or training in electronics, mechanics, or related fields.
  • Possess good knowledge of computer systems / electronic and electro-mechanical systems
  • Have good working knowledge of Windows, MS Office applications
  • Written and Oral communication, customer service and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, testing, and troubleshooting of banking equipment on client sites.
  • Diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements of components, parts, or systems.
  • Test and verify equipment functionality after repairs or parts replacements.
  • Provide on-site training and guidance to clients regarding proper equipment usage.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts used, and issues resolved.
  • Work closely with the technical support team to escalate complex issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of parts and tools for on-site work.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Ability to perform repairs and replace parts on a variety of printing machines.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide professional, courteous service.
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain a wide range of equipment and software in field
  • Respond to service calls and provide timely resolution of technical issues
  • Perform equipment upgrades and modifications as required
  • Document all service activities
  • Ensure customer satisfaction & follow up
