Job Summary

Richmond Hill Handyman is looking for an energetic, polite, and reliable Field Support Technician to support our lead remodelers and home repair specialists. This role is ideal for someone who has basic-to-moderate construction skills, knows how to use tools safely, works hard, and is eager to learn hands-on from experienced technicians. You will assist with remodeling projects, repairs, installations, and site preparation, as well as independent tasks, while delivering a respectful and positive customer experience.

What You’ll Do

As a Field Support Technician, you will work under a Lead Technician and assist with:

• Basic carpentry, trim installation, and general home repairs
• Demo work, jobsite prep, cleanup, and loading/unloading tools or materials
• Tile, drywall, painting, finish work, fixtures, and flooring assistance
• Measuring, cutting, organizing materials, and staging workspaces
• Delivery and logistics support as needed
• Following safety guidelines and learning proper techniques for each task
• Providing excellent customer service through good manners and professionalism
• Keeping the jobsite clean, safe, and organized throughout the day

Your primary responsibility is to support the Lead Technician so the job runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

What You NeedRequired

• Familiarity with common tools and which tasks they are used for
• Ability to lift 60+ lbs and participate in hands-on work
• Willingness to learn, take correction constructively, and practice new skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Passing of a background check
• Agree to Drug Screening
• Ability to use a smartphone for navigation and job updates

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• Some experience in trades, home repair, or residential remodeling
• Experience assisting with remodels or small renovations
• Basic understanding of flooring, tile, drywall, or finish carpentry
• Any trade certifications or safety training
