Finance & Accounting Specialist

Community Connections, Inc. (CCI) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our team! This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys balancing Accounts Payable, payroll support, and general ledger responsibilities.

What You’ll Do as a Finance & Accounting Specialist:

• Manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor maintenance, reconciliations, and scheduled check runs
• Serve as the primary contact for vendors and program staff regarding invoices, payments, and contracted services
• Prepare monthly journal entries, perform general ledger reconciliations, and assist with financial reporting
• Support audits, including petty cash audits, annual client fund audits, and the annual fiscal audit
• Provide backup payroll support (UKG preferred) and manage credit card reimbursements and annual 1099 processing

What You’ll Need as a Finance & Accounting Specialist

• 6 months to 1 year of Accounts Payable experience required
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred (experience may substitute)
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping functions and computerized accounting systems
• Experience with payroll systems (UKG preferred) or strong aptitude to learn
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial data
