Join us as a Finance and Commercial Advisor!
This role is supporting the business on all finance and commercial matters related to bp’s activities in Abu Dhabi, using advanced technical capabilities in integrated business planning, performance reporting, commercial optimization, advising on policy and compliance, working with relevant teams across the business and assisting in driving outstanding business results.
In line with UAE's Emiratisation goals, this position is open for UAE nationals only.
What you will do in this role:
Business planning and performance management. Lead and/or support development of budgets and forecasts for the oil and LNG businesses. Monitor business performance and provide opportune analysis and advice.
Economic Analysis. Provide advanced economic/ analytical support for business decisions.
Lead bp processes for investment governance, reserves booking, SMOG, impairment etc. Maintain / create economic models.
Joint Venture management. Participate in JV finance and audit committee meetings. Advise business decisions in line with agreements, to protect and enhance bp value.
Lead risk management processes and ensure compliance with relevant bp policies for Joint Ventures management.
What You will need to be successful:
Degree level education in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, business management, or equivalent.
Significant experience in Finance, business planning, economic evaluation, in oil and gas.
Strong analytical and modelling skills, and sound understanding of accounting fundamentals.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong team-working skills and ability to effectively influence and build alignment. Communicate & coordinate across a broad spectrum of technical and non-technical work groups.
Strong communication skills.
Fluent English language knowledge.
Desirable criteria:
Experience in Investment governance processes, Joint ventures and agreements management.
Knowledge & experience of LNG markets and pricing.
