Finance Associate

About the Role

The Finance Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing accurate records, assisting with budgeting and payroll, and ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a blend of technical accounting proficiency and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, journal entries, and financial statements.

· Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, ensuring 100% transparency and accuracy.

· Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of organizational budgets. analyze current trends to forecast future financial performance.

· Expense Management: Track and manage company expenses, including the review of expense reports and processing of employee reimbursements.

Payroll & Compliance

· Payroll Processing: Assist in the end-to-end payroll process, including calculating wages, preparing payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulators and labor laws.

· Audit Support: Facilitate internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation, providing explanations, and offering full support to auditors.

· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant accounting standards, government regulations, and internal company policies.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

· Verbal Communication: Articulate financial concepts, reports, and data clearly and concisely during meetings, presentations, and internal discussions.

· Written Communication: Draft emails, memos, reports, and other correspondence with a high degree of accuracy, clarity, and professionalism.

· Client Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving financial issues, and maintaining a helpful, positive attitude.

· Presentations: Confident presentation of financial information using visual aids and presentation software to persuasive effect when necessary.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Technical Skills & Qualifications

· Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and accrual accounting.

· Software Proficiency:

o Experience using standard Accounting Software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, or ERP systems).

o Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas, functions, pivot tables, and data manipulation techniques to analyze financial data effectively.

· Document Management: Ability to systematically organize and maintain financial records, documents, and files for easy retrieval and reference.

  • Team Management: Proven ability to manage or coordinate within a team structure effectively.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to learn new skills, adapt to changing priorities or procedures, and thrive in a dynamic, evolving work environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From QAR2,800.00 per month
