Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to lead and manage the financial operations of our contracting business.

The ideal candidate will have strong auditing experience and a proven track record in large-scale construction or contracting companies. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, effective cost control, and strategic financial planning to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial data and records.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure full compliance with UAE financial regulations, VAT laws, and internal policies.
• Lead internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain strong audit readiness and documentation control.

Cost Control & Project Finance

• Monitor project costing, cash flow, and profitability across multiple projects.
• Review and control expenses to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Analyze financial performance of ongoing construction projects.

Financial Strategy & Risk Management

• Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Identify financial risks and provide mitigation strategies.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Supervise and guide the accounts and finance team.
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with banks, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders on financial matters.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 15–20 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably in contracting or construction companies.
• Strong background in auditing (internal and/or external audit experience).
• Experience with large-scale projects and high-value financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.

Preferred Profile

• Experience in leading contracting, fit-out, or construction companies in UAE/GCC.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and complex financial structures.
• Strong strategic thinking with high attention to detail.
