Finance Controller (Retail Operations)

One of the renowned FMCG Retail operations in the Middle East is looking for a hands-on Territory Controller to lead end-to-end accounting, revenue integrity, tax compliance, and statutory reporting for a large-scale Retail business in Saudi Arabia.

This role will be responsible for end-to-end financial accounting, statutory reporting, direct and indirect tax compliance, and revenue-to-cash integrity for the F&B retail business, ensuring accurate books, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close (GL, accruals, provisions, prepayments)
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition for POS-based retail sales
• Maintain balance sheet integrity including:
• Cash & bank reconciliations
• Inventory valuation & provisions
• Deposits, advances, and prepayments
• Prepare management accounts and support management reporting
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and group accounting policies
• Coordinate and manage external audits, internal audits, and statutory reviews
• Cash-to-Customer (C2C)
• Oversee daily sales posting from POS to ERP
• Reconcile sales data with ZATCA portal requirements
• Review cash, card, and digital tender reconciliations handled by offshore C2C team
• Ensure strict adherence to store-level SOPs for cash and card controls
• Taxation & Statutory Compliance
• Support Finance Head on all ZATCA-related compliances
• VAT
• Withholding Tax
• Corporate Income Tax

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience (retail preferred)
• Educational qualification - MBA Finance or CA or equivalent.
• Strong KSA tax and statutory knowledge
• IFRS-aligned accounting background
• ERP + POS ecosystem exposure
• Audit-ready mindset
