Job Title: Head of Finance / Finance Head

Department: Finance & Accounts
Location: [Bhopal India]
Reports To: CFO

Job Summary:

The Finance Head will lead the financial strategy, planning, and management of the organization, ensuring robust financial control, compliance, and efficiency across all business operations. The role involves overseeing accounting, budgeting, financial planning, reporting, taxation, and treasury management for the BPO entity. The ideal candidate will provide strategic insights to support business growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Management

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals and expansion plans.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team to drive profitability and cost optimization.
  • Manage capital structure, funding requirements, and cash flow planning.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process; monitor performance against targets.
  • Analyze business performance, cost drivers, and revenue streams (including client contracts, SLAs, and billing).
  • Partner with operations to assess financial impact of business decisions and process changes.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee end-to-end accounting, financial closing, and reporting in line with statutory and corporate requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all taxation (GST, TDS, transfer pricing, etc.), statutory audits, and regulatory filings.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and audit readiness.

Treasury & Working Capital Management

  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment decisions.
  • Optimize working capital and ensure liquidity for business operations.
  • Evaluate and manage currency risks, particularly in international BPO operations.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business heads, HR, and IT to align financial practices with operational goals.
  • Present financial performance and projections to the board and investors.
  • Support pricing, contract negotiation, and financial modeling for new client engagements.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team for high performance.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, or MBA in Finance.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Prior experience in a BPO / shared services / ITES environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of international accounting standards, compliance, and multi-currency operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / NetSuite / Tally) and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience and industry standards.
