Job Profile
Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting, taxation, budgeting, and risk management, along with the ability to lead a finance team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
- Develop financial plans and strategies to support business objectives.
- Oversee cash flow management, financial forecasting, and fund allocation to ensure organizational liquidity.
2. Accounting and Reporting:
- Manage the preparation of accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports.
3. Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and filing requirements (e.g., GST, TDS, VAT, etc.).
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors to maintain proper compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in financial legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
4. Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and monitor budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and assess profitability.
5. Team Supervision and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the accounting and finance team to achieve performance goals.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and ensure proper cross-training within the team.
- Conduct periodic team performance reviews and identify skill development needs.
6. Process Optimization:
- Review and improve internal financial controls and processes to boost accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain accounting software or ERP systems for improved financial management.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with management and other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making.
8. Risk Management:
- Identify potential financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Monitor investment activities and minimize financial exposure.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies and cost optimization.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certifications (CA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Proven experience of 8–15 years in financial management, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial legislation.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems.
