Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for oil & gas projects.
- Monitor project costs, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Energy standards, local laws, and corporate financial policies.
- Support contract review, tender evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements for projects.
- Handle banking operations, including opening, amending, and closing Letters of Credit (LC), guarantees, and other bank instruments.
- Liaise with banks for project financing, LC transactions, and corporate banking services.
- Develop, implement, and improve financial processes, controls, and reporting tools.
- Coordinate with project managers, operations, procurement, and external auditors.
- Provide strategic financial advice to enhance profitability and project performance.
- Mentor and manage the finance team, ensuring high performance and development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in oil & gas project finance.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and banking operations.
