Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is the financial control center of Hot N Spicy, overseeing all financial operations across 5 branches plus Freshpick and Mehran Town. This role owns monthly closing, P&L reporting, tax compliance (SRB, WHT, income tax), daily fund management, reconciliation oversight, vendor relations, and payroll financial controls. Every rupee entering or leaving the organization passes through a process this role governs.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead monthly financial closing and reporting — Ensure closing entries are posted by the 10th calendar day; deliver P&L presentation to Financial by the 8th working day; maintain zero material errors in all financial statements.

· Own all tax compliance and regulatory filings — Manage monthly SRB sales tax reviews, quarterly WHT filings, and annual income tax returns; liaise with tax consultants; target zero penalties from any regulatory body.

· Manage daily funds and transaction controls — Review all cheques, cash entries, adjustments, and accruals daily; approve vendor payments within authority limits; ensure rent and utility payments are made before due dates.

· Oversee all reconciliations — Review and sign off Foodpanda, bank, and credit card reconciliations across all branches; resolve all discrepancies within 10 working days; escalate items >PKR 50,000 to CEO within 24 hours.

· Joint-approve monthly payroll with HR Manager — Verify payroll financial accuracy by the 27th; ensure accurate posting in accounting system; monitor payroll budget variance (±3%).

· Manage vendor and legal coordination — Meet key vendors monthly; draft legal agreements (tenancy, partnership) with CEO; resolve vendor disputes within 15 working days.

· Develop and lead the Finance team — Conduct quarterly reviews for 4 direct reports; provide guidance on issues; ensure team capability through training.

· Conduct sample review of branch cash and cashier related process.

· Keep the business process document and updated all the time. Review all business process atleast once per quarter and compare it with the actual practices.

Qualifications

· Master's or professional certification preferred (ACA, ACMA, CMA)

· 8+ years finance/accounting management; 3+ years multi-branch or multi-entity

· Restaurant/hospitality experience strongly preferred

· Expert knowledge: Pakistan tax laws (SRB, FBR, WHT, income tax)

· Advanced MS Excel, QuickBooks, Lightwave proficiency

· Strong analytical and communication skills
