Finance Manager - General Ledger

Job Purpose:

· As a General Ledger Finance Manager, you are required to oversee the integrity of financial records and ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will lead a team responsible for managing the GL function, ensuring proper reconciliation, month-end close activities, compliance, and process improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

· Lead the general ledger accounting process, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.

· Review journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.

· Maintain and improve the integrity of the chart of accounts and financial reporting systems.

· Ensure compliance with accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), company policies, and local statutory requirements.

· Coordinate with internal teams (AP, AR, FP&A, Tax) to ensure complete and accurate accounting.

· Drive improvements in the close process and implement internal controls to support financial integrity.

· Liaise with external auditors during interim and year-end audits; provide audit schedules and support.

· Prepare and review financial reports and management dashboards.

· Lead and mentor a team of accountants; manage workload and ensure deadlines are met.

· Assist in ERP upgrades or implementations relating to GL and reporting modules.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred). CA / CPA / ACCA qualification preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Soft Skills: Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

• Experience in a shared services or large multinational environment.
• Exposure to tax compliance, audit processes, or financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
• Experience in process automation and digital transformation in finance functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs250,000.00 - Rs300,000.00 per month
