Summary:
The financial advisor position is primarily focused on developing new business and the retention of the existing client relationships. The position requires an individual who has a thorough knowledge of the financial services business and who is committed to being part of a team that delivers a comprehensive client solution. This individual must have strong relationship management skills. A qualified applicant must be dedicated, goal-oriented, and able to work well in a self-directed and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Key Responsibilities
Grow Equity Financial Services Group New Income and Profile in the Community
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
- Demonstrate operational efficiency and organization to maintain good quality client interaction
- Implement Broker/Dealer policies, procedures, and protocols
- Proactively make referrals to other business lines that result in additional revenue to the bank
- Participate in community activities to increase bank visibility and image
Encourage Retail Branch and Commercial Relationship Managers
- Communicate with territory team players
- Train and develop teammates on Financial Services products and services and how to effectively make referrals
Ensure Delivery of Superior Client Service and Client Experience with Equity Bank and EFSG
- Demonstrate excellent client skills
- Create a welcoming, engaging, and professional environment for clients to experience
- Proactively resolve client issues or objections
- Proactively match Financial Services products and solutions to client needs
- Make periodic visits to bank locations to assess needs, confirm satisfaction and promote additional services
Demonstrate Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations
- Understand the follow applicable laws and regulations for job responsibilities, including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethics and Conduct policy, FINRA, SEC and other SRA rules and regulations
Other Items:
- Develops plan to achieve sales goals with assistance from sales management. Build familiarity with what is required to meet goals, in terms of specific actions and steps needed as well as planning and managing time effectively
- Assists with developing and implementing sales and marketing initiatives to increase awareness of product offerings outside and inside the Company
- Provides referral and product training to non-licensed Company employees, with assistance from sales management and others as needed
- Develop knowledge of current industry practices and trends and full array of Company products and services by learning from more experienced sales personnel and by attending continuing education training and seminars
- Maintains proper documentation and paperwork and files required activity reports to sales management as needed; complies with applicable laws and regulations and maintains various compliance files, including advertising, complaint, and correspondence
- Participates in civic activities to promote growth and development of the community and a positive image for the Company
Required Skills & Education
Requirements
- Securities registrations Series 7, 6, and 63
- Licensed in Life & Health Insurance
- Bachelor’s Degree; Finance or Business preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the banking industry
- Willingness to travel 30% or more a month
