Job Title: Accountant / Financial Analyst
Location: Al Barsha
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant / Financial Analyst to manage the financial operations of our dynamic business, which includes both delivery services and transport operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Xero accounting software, strong proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, and a keen eye for accuracy and detail in all financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions (expenses, revenues, journal entries) are properly recorded.
  • Process vendor invoices, reconcile statements, manage payment schedules, and resolve discrepancies with vendors and suppliers.
  • Generate and track customer invoices, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain comprehensive AR records.
  • Administer payroll processes, ensuring precise calculations, deductions, and compliance with tax and labor laws.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy of all recorded transactions.
  • Support tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
  • Analyze operational costs related to transport and delivery activities, ensuring effective cost control and allocation.
  • Leverage advanced Excel tools (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data validation, and dashboards) to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Utilize Xero for bookkeeping, reconciliation, reporting, and management of AP/AR modules, ensuring real-time accuracy of accounts.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and assist in audit preparation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on bookkeeping, AP, AR, and payroll.
  • Proven experience using Xero (mandatory) and ability to manage complete accounting workflows within the system.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency — must be confident in handling large datasets, building financial models, and using formulas, pivot tables, and lookups efficiently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
  • Prior experience in logistics, transport, or delivery-related businesses is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with last-mile delivery and Transport operations.
  • Proven track record in payroll processing and compliance.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control in logistics environments.
