PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE
The Financial Analyst – Operations Finance is a key contributor within Daisy Brand’s Finance organization, serving as a trusted partner to Operations. This role plays a critical part in driving disciplined financial execution across manufacturing operations by delivering accurate close results, deep variance insights, and actionable analysis that inform business decisions.
This position is well‑suited for a high‑performing analyst who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, demonstrates strong ownership over results, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes through automation, data, and modern financial tools.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE ACHIEVEMENT OF KEY RESULTS AND DELIVERABLES
Manufacturing & Operations Finance

Own the daily soft close process for manufacturing expense accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity

Analyze manufacturing and operational expense variances, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities, and communicating insights to Finance and Operations leadership

Partner closely with Operations leaders to support performance reviews, decision‑making, and achievement of operational objectives

Research manufacturing expenses to ensure proper timing, classification, and compliance with corporate policy and U.S. GAAP
Close, Controls & Compliance

Support month‑end close activities and journal entries with a strong understanding of general ledger impacts

Provide schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation for annual audits and internal reviews

Validate adherence to policies and procedures, proactively identifying and addressing control gaps
Assets, Systems & Data

Maintain the financial dimensions of the maintenance asset register and support ongoing fixed asset accounting activities

Assist in maintaining accurate fixed asset records, including additions, retirements, and transfers

Support ERP data integrity and contribute to system enhancements and functionality expansion, including Microsoft Dynamics 365
Planning, Budgeting & Business Support

Contribute to the annual operating expense budgeting process and reforecasting cycles

Deliver timely, high‑quality ad hoc analyses and reporting to support Operations and Finance leadership

Serve as back‑up to the Cost Analyst, ensuring continuity of critical cost accounting activities

Coordinate and support contract reviews in partnership with internal stakeholders and external counsel
Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability through automation, reporting enhancements, and advanced analytical tools

Leverage Power BI, Excel, and emerging AI‑enabled capabilities to enhance insight delivery and decision support

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analysis or related discipline from an accredited college

Minimum of five years of work experience in accounting or finance role

Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred

Experience with PowerBI and Power Automate are a plus

Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel to include pivot tables, nested formulas, and advanced functions

Experience with Office Scripts, VBA and/or macros is a plus

Interest in applying automation, data, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Minimal out of state travel required for physical inventory observations and budget planning
